Empowered Wellbeing was not built from theory.
It was born from a personal fight for wholeness.
From the depths of depression.
From days where getting out of bed felt impossible.
From anxiety that felt like it owned my body.
From the silent scream of holding it all in while showing up for everyone else.
And in the middle of that pain, I found my path not back to who I was,
but forward to who I was always becoming.
This is more than a wellness space.
This is a trauma-informed, mental-health-centered movement
where healing is allowed to be messy, gentle, embodied, and sacred.
We don’t bypass.
We don’t rush.
We don’t shame you for struggling.
Here, your nervous system matters.
Your emotions matter.
You matter.
Because healing is a mental health journey, not a performance.

At Empowered Wellbeing, we believe healing begins with the courage to reconnect with your body, your emotions, and your truth.
We are a trauma-informed wellness community offering tools and practices rooted in Somatics, nervous system regulation, yoga, breathwork, and integrative healing. But we’re more than just a wellness brand we are a movement for those navigating the weight of stress, anxiety, and depression and looking for a safe space to come back home to themselves.
Our founder, Latonyia, created this space out of her own healing journey through mental health challenges. What began as a personal path to emotional survival became a global mission to help others find wholeness in the midst of chaos.

I remember the day like it was yesterday I was drowning in my own depression, barely holding it together. In the middle of a workday, a small whisper came through:
“Go to yoga on your lunch break.”
That single moment changed everything.
What started as a quiet act of survival became the beginning of my healing and now, I’m building a global revolution to help others through their own darkest moments with mental health.
Latonyia Sumpter is a somatic practitioner, trauma-informed yoga instructor, and holistic wellness coach who turned her personal struggle with depression and emotional burnout into a mission to guide others back to themselves.
As the founder of Empowered Wellbeing, Latonyia supports trauma survivors, empaths, and those silently battling anxiety, stress, and self-doubt. Her work integrates Somatics, nervous system regulation, breathwork, Yoga Nidra, NLP, energy healing, and trauma-informed practices to support deep emotional release and reconnection to the body.
Latonyia is known for holding safe, soulful space. She’s not here to fix you she’s here to remind you of the wisdom and wholeness already within you. Her work is a mirror, inviting others to reclaim their voice, rewrite their story, and rise with resilience.
From mentoring at Metropolitan Ministries to hosting wellness events and retreats, facilitating yoga classes in the heart of Tampa, and serving on boards supporting women’s mental health Latonyia shows up for her community with compassion, purpose, and power.
Through her signature programs, healing retreats and Live Workshops. Latonyia continues to lead a movement helping survivors break cycles, regulate their nervous systems, and rediscover the strength they thought they lost.
